Scarborough South Beach is a popular resort beach situated on the Yorkshire coast. It is 0.5 kilometres in length with a gentle slope. At low tide a large area of the beach is exposed and the water's edge can be some distance away. To the north of the bathing water is Scarborough harbour. The beach is backed by a large number of tourist establishments, including restaurants, amusements and shops and higher up the steep cliff the town of Scarborough.
Scarborough North Beach is a large resort beach situated on the Yorkshire coast. It is 900 metres in length with a gentle slope. At low tide rocky outcrops become exposed and the water's edge can be some distance away. Behind the beach there is a promenade and a small number of tourist establishments and the town of Scarborough.

There is a large holiday park situated on the high cliff top above the beach.
Robin Hood's Bay Beach is a small rural beach situated on the Yorkshire coast. It is approximately 200 metres in length and enclosed by rugged rocks which become exposed at low tide. Above the beach is the village of Robin Hood's Bay, with a number of tourist establishments, shops, food outlets, cottages and houses packed tightly on the surrounding steep cliffs.
