Bridlington South Beach is a large beach resort situated on the Yorkshire coast. It is 1.5 kilometres in length with a gentle slope. At low tide a large area of the beach is exposed, and the water's edge can be some distance away. The Gypsey Race, the stream that runs through the centre of Bridlington, drains into Bridlington Harbour, a commercial harbour. The harbour entrance is to the north of Bridlington South bathing beach. The southern end of the beach adjoins Wilsthorpe Beach. The seafront is backed by a promenade and tourist establishments and behind this residential properties and the town of Bridlington. Bridlington South Beach is a lovely English seaside setting with a mix of attractions such as arcades, mini golf, haunted house, dinosaur show, boat rides, and a fairground. The beach is clean, spacious, and surprisingly beautiful. It is considered the best beach in the local area, with decent parking spots and clean toilets that stay open late during the summer. There are also beach shops and a cafe bar that offers takeout beers and fish and chips. Visitors can enjoy walks on the beach, although it is important to be cautious of the tide. Overall, the beach and the seafront are well-maintained and provide a pleasant experience. However, some amenities and shops may not be open early in the season.
