Bridlington North Beach is a large resort beach situated on the Yorkshire coast. The sandy beach is two kilometres in length with a gentle slope and at low tide a large area of the beach is exposed. The beach is backed by tourist establishments on the seafront and the town of Bridlington. It lies to the north of Bridlington Harbour, a commercial shellfish harbour into which The Gypsey Race, a chalk stream, drains after passing through the centre of Bridlington. The beach offers a different experience depending on the tide. On some days, it may be covered in stones, while on others, it mostly has flat sand. The beach has a steeper gradient compared to the south beach, which can create a dramatic effect during high tide. The view towards Flamborough head is fantastic, and there is a promenade from where you can enjoy views across the town. Dolphins and porpoises are regular visitors to this part of the east coast, although their appearance is unpredictable. There are toilets available and a lifeguard station during Easter and summer. Easy access to the promenade, shops, toilets, and some roadside parking makes North Beach convenient for visitors.
