Christchurch Highcliffe Castle is in Christchurch Bay on the Dorset coast. The bay is approximately 13 kilometres wide from Hengistbury Head to Hurst Castle. Highcliffe Castle is a sand and shingle beach resort, approximately one kilometre wide, backed by woodland covered cliffs. Christchurch Highcliffe Castle Beach is located 2 kilometers south west of Highcliffe-on-Sea in the county of Dorset. There is a mobile cafe available, although the main cafe building is currently closed. Parking can be a problem when it is busy, so it is advisable to arrive early, especially on weekends. The castle itself has a rich history and offers a magical wedding venue. The location is convenient, with ample parking and beautiful surroundings of gardens and forest walkways. The beach provides great views of the coast and Isle of Wight, and there are essential facilities available. The left side of the beach is sandy with strong waves, while the right side is pebbly with slightly calmer waves.
